If you attended our Annual General Meeting on May 16 2019, you will have heard Colin Rousseaux talk about our strategic planning process. Three strategic areas were identified, volunteer management, marketing and program management. We have now completed the operational plan, which addresses the basic elements of these strategic areas. So the next step is the action plan and this, as Colin says is where the rubber hits the road! One should not underestimate the amount of work that will required from the board to achieve the output required for success of this stage in the process. Many issues need to be detailed in sufficient detail that if the board were created de novo, the new board would be able to run Theatre Wakefield without having to reinvent the wheel, so to speak.
Once initiated, the action plan will enable Theatre Wakefield to move toward the vision that it has been agreed upon in the previous strategic and operational plans.
