She is also a leader in the new filmmaker’s self-distribution movement. Brenda originally comes from the world of theatre where she had held the position of Director of Communications for a number of theatre festivals and companies. Today, she is Managing Director of the Wakefield International Film Festival and a Director of Summer Film Camp. She was an Executive Board Member of Theatre Wakefield from 2004 to 2014. Her most recent feature documentary, PRECAUTIONARY PRINCIPLE: the Nicole Bruinsma Story, has been screened coast to coast in Canada and in countries around the world.
Tasha Forget Tasha is the marketing and communications manager at Wakefield Centre. For more than 20 years Tasha has been developing and executing marketing and communications strategies utilising a wide variety of marketing methods including website development and management, social media, PR, email marketing, brand development and traditional and online advertising. Tasha holds a bachelor of Public Relations from RMIT university in Melbourne Australia and has recently completed the accelerated Social Media program at Algonquin College.
